Commercial drone pilots are required to obtain an RPL (Remote Pilot License) through DGCA‑approved RPTOs. The training usually spans 5–7 days and covers theory lessons, simulator practice, and a flight assessment. Once issued, the certificate is valid for up to 10 years.
